The children were sleeping in the crib and I was strapped to a baby to my back. Ha! The house was starting to look nice, but there was a lot that needed to be left. The home would require an enormous amount of work as well as a passion for shopping. To stay the cost within my means I took my sons along to search for hidden treasures at estate sales. We had a weekly schedule that included spending Thursday through Saturday walking around estate sales and garage sales shopping for new and used objects. The rest of the week working on painting and sanding the driveway. My first impression was like... this is when my passion to restore furniture began. Even after our house was furnished I couldn't quit! I had a space at the local market and also sold items there. Then, I ran out of numerous pieces of furniture to fit into the space available. There were open houses at my house which saw over 1 000 guests would come through in the span of a weekend. They could purchase whatever they saw on the first floor. My venture Growing Days began here. My business was booming however my family was growing too. I was finding that balance of having to start a new business and be a mommy too. Growing Days fit perfectly. In 2013, my beautiful daughter Nora joined our 4th child. My company was doing well however I needed a break. I made the decision to take a break and stay at home, with my children. At the time, it was exactly what I needed. After a while. I was getting requests from people requesting for help in home improvement and interior design. The majority of them were those who had walked through my house during open houses for furniture! The time flew by before I managed a large-scale home renovation company. I began by taking clients in a manner that I was confident in. It would have probably made me laugh if you had said that this was going to be the subject of an DIY Network tv series. As I look back on this situation, I find myself laughing.
